Business English (B1) – Lesson 2

Remember that the most important aspect of the course is the acquisition of new business and general vocabulary. By now, you should already have done the following:

• looked at and stated using the A - Z Word list at the back of your coursebook Basis for Business (B1) on page 184

• downloaded and started using the Chronological Wordlist to make a list of new vocabulary from the units we over in the lessons

• begun using your preferred method for learning the new vocabulary (e.g., the Quizlet app, a vocabulary notebook or cards).

For this lesson you should:

1. make a list of new vocabulary from Unit 2.

2. do the vocbulary exercises in the Online activities below.

Use your coursebook Basis for Business B1 to do the following:

1. Go to page 32, Part A: Looking back

2. Prepare exercise 1 for our next lesson.

Use your coursebook Basis for Business B1 to do the following:

1. check the explanations for the present simple and present continuous on page 18

2. do exercises 1 - 4 on pages 19 - 20.
